Decibud privacy policy
Your audio stays on your Mac.
Who we are
Decibud is provided by LDM Co LLC. This policy covers the Decibud Mac app and its product pages. Contact [email protected] with privacy questions.
Audio processing and permissions
Decibud uses macOS audio-capture APIs to identify activity and adjust supported sources. Audio is processed in memory on your Mac and is not recorded, uploaded, or sent to LDM Co LLC. The app does not capture microphone input. You control audio-capture permission in macOS System Settings. Optional media-key handling may require Accessibility permission.
Information stored on your device
Volume settings, equalizer preferences, scenes, groups, app identifiers, output-device identifiers, shortcut choices, and restoration settings are stored locally. Recent audio history is off by default. If you enable it, Decibud stores source names, details and last-heard times locally. Entries older than 24 hours are removed when history is loaded or refreshed, or when another sound is recorded; they can remain on disk longer if the app is not running or history is not refreshed. This history contains no audio. You can clear history or disable saving in the app. These settings are not sent to us or synchronized through a Decibud account.
No app analytics, advertising, or tracking
The app has no analytics or advertising SDK and does not track you across other apps or websites. LDM Co LLC does not receive automatic app telemetry. Purchases, delivery, updates, and any diagnostics you choose to share with Apple are governed by Apple’s settings and privacy practices.
Support is your choice
If you email us, we receive your email address, message, and attachments you choose to send. The app’s Support diagnostics screen creates a local report for you to review and copy; it sends nothing automatically. Please do not include audio recordings, passwords, or unrelated personal information. We use support correspondence to respond and resolve issues, retain it only as needed for that purpose and legitimate recordkeeping, and do not sell it.
Website visits
Our hosting and delivery providers process technical request information, such as IP address and requested page, to deliver and protect this website. See the company website privacy policy. Opening a support or privacy link uses your browser; it does not upload your app settings or audio.
Your choices
You can clear local history, disable optional saving and restoration, and revoke audio-capture or Accessibility permission. We cannot access or delete local app data for you. Contact us to request access, correction, or deletion of personal information you sent through support. We may need limited information to verify your request and may retain records where legally required. You may also contact your local privacy regulator.
Changes
We will update this page when the app’s practices change and show the effective date above. Material changes will be explained in the app or release information where appropriate.
